You will need to lodge money onto your account and make menu choices for the days you would like your children to have school lunches. Lunches must be ordered at least three days in advance.
Here at Coombe Hill Junior’s School we aim to provide children and staff with a variety of healthy nutritious meals that taste as good as they look and form an essential part of a healthy balanced diet. In partnership with Accent Catering, we offer a variety of fresh seasonal food prepared on site based on modern ethnically diverse dishes that provide a contemporary twist on conventional school meals. Recently we have introduced baked potatoes with a variety of fillings and these have proved extremely popular.
The menus are all analysed by a computer program called ‘Nutmeg’ to ensure they meet the 14 Nutritional Standards set by ‘The School Food Trust'.
Accent Catering work with a consultant dietician and is an active member of the Food Standard’s Agency “Health Catering” sector.
To further embellish our commitments to healthy eating we are pleased to be able to confirm that Accent Catering are accredited with the Bronze Food for Life Award across all of their Primary School business.
We believe in choice whatever the time of day and this term's menu can be downloaded from link at the bottom of this page. All the options provide excellent value for money. Menus change seasonally with each new term and favourites feature alongside new, innovative dishes. Themed menus celebrate different cultures and offer students an opportunity to sample foods from other countries/cultures. Each month we feature theme days for the children to enjoy check out our annual calendar and monthly theme days advertised on the web site.
A delicious selection of freshly prepared homemade hot and cold food is available. Choose a main meal or a vegetarian dish, fresh vegetables along with freshly baked bread. A third Baked Potato option is often available.
All our desserts are made on the premises from fresh ingredients not mixes. Low fat yoghurt and fresh fruit feature widely on our menus helping children to achieve that goal of “five a day” fruit & vegetables.
