Meet OUR ANIMALs

We have four school pets - two chickens - they are old ladies now - and two guinea pigs.

Our two guinea pigs are brothers. Their names, Thunder and Lightening were chosen by pupils. Children can visit them during lunch or break time but their cages should never be opened with permission of an adult. Guinea pigs need to eat food like hay to give them fibre. This helps them digest their food.

Guinea pigs should have vegetables and some types of fruit every day but only in small amounts. Pupils are allowed to offer them grass through their cage wires but nothing else.

Chickens have a more particular diet and only pupils working with Mrs S should feed them. Thanks to Mrs S, they probably have the most luxuriest chicken coop in England!
